Job Summary:
Mughal Steel, a leading name in Pakistan’s steel industry, is hiring a skilled Engine Room Operator (ERO) to support its Power Plant Operations. This role ensures the smooth, safe, and continuous functioning of all mechanical and auxiliary systems in the gas power plant engine room.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor engine room equipment (pumps, compressors, cooling/lubrication systems, fuel units)

Conduct routine inspections and maintain fluid levels (oil, coolant, fuel)

Identify and report abnormalities (noise, vibration, leaks, overheating)
-
Support plant start-up and shutdown processes under CRO supervision
-
Maintain logs and operational records
-
Perform minor preventive maintenance; escalate major issues

Ensure cleanliness and safety of engine room area

Follow safety, health, and environmental regulations

Participate in emergency drills and permit-to-work procedures
Eligibility Criteria:
Education:
🎓 3-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical Technology from a recognized institute
Experience:
🧰 2–4 years of hands-on experience in gas power plant or marine engine room operations
💡 Strong knowledge of gas turbine auxiliaries and mechanical systems
Skills:

Expertise in rotating/mechanical equipment

Ability to detect early signs of equipment failure

Solid understanding of safety and emergency procedures

Good communication and teamwork for shift handovers
