Job Title: Product Manager
📍 Location: Karachi
Job Description:
Pakistan Product Information Collection:

Conduct in-depth research on Pakistan’s feature phone and smartphone markets.

Analyze consumer preferences, channel structures, regulatory policies, and competitor dynamics to assist in developing localized product strategies.

Identify region-specific demands (e.g., religious calendars, loudspeakers, waterproof/dustproof features) and explore product localization solutions.
Local Roadmap Management:
-
Participate in local product planning.
-
Define core selling points such as pricing tiers, hardware configurations, and localized OS features.

Assist in pricing strategies and drive product execution.
-
Monitor post-launch product performance using Business Development data and user feedback to implement iterative improvements.
Collaboration with Headquarters:
-
Coordinate between domestic product teams and overseas local teams to resolve compliance issues (certifications, data privacy), supply chain challenges, and after-market strategies.

Support local Market Strategy and Business Development teams in planning culturally aligned campaigns (e.g., Ramadan promotions, KOL collaborations).
Competitive Barrier Development:

Research the regional competitive landscape and develop differentiated strategies against rival brands.

Explore customized product requirements with local partners such as telecom operators and distributors.
Requirements:
-
3+ years of experience working with mobile phone brands, with 5+ years in the mobile industry overall.

Full lifecycle experience managing at least one locally launched mobile product.
Core Competencies:
-
Strong market insight with the ability to extract insights from user interviews, GFK/NPD data, etc.

Deep understanding of the Pakistani market, including:
-
Familiarity with key competitors like Infinix, Tecno, and Samsung’s local strategies.

Knowledge of overall market trends and regional dynamics.
-
Expertise in consumer purchasing habits and decision-making journeys.

Cross-cultural management skills, including adaptability to multicultural teamwork and managing time zones and communication gaps.

Risk anticipation skills, including awareness of local tariffs, import/export policies, and industry standards such as CE/FCC certifications.
Language Requirements:

Native Urdu and fluent business English.

Chinese language skills are a plus for liaising with headquarters in China.
Salary: PKR 100,000 – 200,000
